Artistic
time-keepers
that measure both light and time
Alainpers has for ever been obsessed
with how to represent the passage of time
time as
it illuminates our thoughts. At the age of 17, he visits
an exhibition of art lumino-cinetic (combining
light and movement) which fascinates him and leads him
to his future passion.
After a stint in both the aeronautical
and industrial fields, he decides to follow his own creative
urge and starts producing functional works of art as well
as monumental paintings and sculptures.
He always works with light, light as
keeper of our days and dreams, where seconds drip and
flow into minutes and hours.
In all of Alainpers work there
is a fusion between the passage of time and light as they
merge into one. To him, light is imbued with meaning and
purpose.
Rays of the day, rays of our life, that
show us the way: daybreak, high noon, twilight, moments
that give our life its rhythm.
A point of light is like a dart that
soars and collapses, dies, and is reborn.
Life: a point of light that carries
us towards an instant of eternity.
